What is a hypervisor?
A hypervisor is the foundation of virtualization. It is a program that isolates the physical computing resources from the OS and its applications. A hypervisor enables using several operating systems on the same host computer simultaneously. It also isolates different OSs from each other.
What hypervisors do you provide?
We provide the ESXi hypervisor and can install it on new or activated dedicated servers.
Important! It is impossible to install the ESXi hypervisor on servers with pre-installed NVMe drives (including additional disks). NVMe drives are not compatible with hardware RAID controllers.
How much is the installation fee?
The ESXi hypervisor installation fee is €40.
What servers support it?
The ESXi hypervisor is available for servers in Europe only.
What are the installation requirements?
To have the ESXi hypervisor installed, you should order additional services.
- A 4-port RAID controller for €34.9 per month. These hypervisors do not have software RAIDs, so the hardware ones are required. It is impossible to store the data safely if the two disks are not united into one RAID unit.
- Flexi-pack, the extended setup for €15 per month.
- The Intel e1000 GT network card for €4.90 per month if the standard network card is not supported by the system.
The Intel e1000 GT network card is not necessary for the following configurations: ЕХ-8(S), EX-6(S), EX-10, BS (starting from ESXi 5.5 Update 3 / 6.0 Update 2),
RS (starting from ESXi 5.5 Update 3 / 6.0 Update 2), HPS (starting from ESXi 5.5 Update 3 / 6.0 Update 2), HPS-NVMe (starting from ESXi 6.0 Update 2), PX, DELL.

To install vSphere 5.5 and newer versions on EX40, EX60, and some of BS-32/BS-64/RS-64, it will be essential to use the special ISO image with Realtek network card drivers (http://www.bussink.ch/?p=1228). Alternatively, we can install a compatible network card on the server.
How can I request installation of the hypervisor on the activated server?
You should submit a request to the customer care department. Our specialists will issue an invoice for both the hypervisor installation and additional services.
How can I request installation of the hypervisor on a new server?
When ordering a new server, you should leave a comment that you need the hypervisor. All the necessary additional services will be added to the invoice. If you forget to add a comment, contact the customer care department to update your order information.
How many additional IPs can I order for virtualization?
We can provide up to 6 additional IPs per server.
