On what servers is it possible to install my own OS?

You can install your OS only on dedicated servers in the EU (Germany, Finland).

What alternative operating systems can I install?

Upon request, our specialists can install ESXi hypervisor.

However, you are free to install any other OS on the server on your own.

How can I install my own OS?

Here is what you should do:

  1. Request the support. First, check that your server's hardware configuration is compatible with your OS. Make sure all the necessary drivers are available, particularly drivers for the network card and RAID controller. If necessary, provide links to the drivers so that they are installed separately.

Important! Please note that we do not have a full set of drivers that suits any software or hardware configuration. We can guarantee proper operation for the recommended OS only. All other operating systems should be preliminarily approved by our technical specialists.

  1. Please provide a direct link to the ISO image of the OS. Unfortunately, we don't accept links to file-sharing websites. Please share the image via Dropbox or any other server.
  2. If you use a commercial operating system (e.g. Windows), you will have to confirm that it is a licensed version. To do it, you can provide a screenshot from your website's account where you have purchased the license. It is required to prove that your OS is licensed.
  3. Pay the invoice. The one-off fee for adding an image to KVM is €40.
  4. Please specify in your ticket the time suitable for adding an installation image to KVM. We will grant you access to KVM for 3 hours.
