What is migration/data migration?
Data migration is the process of moving data from one server to another, where the old server is abandoned. This process requires that both servers are shut down.
How can I request data migration?
- If you want to do it yourself, order a new server, wait until it is activated, and transfer your data. Specify in the ticket that you are abandoning the initial server.
- If you need help with migration, please submit a corresponding ticket to our support department. Our specialists will issue an invoice. Once the invoice is paid, they will transfer your data.
How does the migration work?
If the migration is performed by our specialists, the entire file system except for temporary directories and files is copied automatically and moved to the new platform. The OS, the control panel, the software, and all their settings are transferred to the new server. This means that it is impossible to change the operating system or the control panel during the migration process.
When is migration impossible?
Our specialists cannot migrate data to or from the servers with the OS Windows.
